At the time of this photo four more grandchildren were on the way.

Once upon a time (13 March, 1915, to be exact) Cecil Earnest WHITE and Ethel Florence BYRD began their family tree by going down to Covington, Kenton, Kentucky, to marry. They put down roots near Selma, Delaware, Indiana. Later they moved to Muncie, Delaware, Indiana.

Their tree bloomed and blossomed, and a lot of us nuts have fallen off that first big oak planted by Cecil and Ethel. They raised eight children, who in turn gave them 27 (if I counted correctly) grandchildren, and three step-grandchildren. Those grand kids have spread out all over the place, and they have produced quite a few little acorns of their own. The family just grows and grows.

This is the story of their descendants and their ancestors, lovingly dedicated to Grandma and Grandpa, neither of whom I have ever heard an unkind word said against. In this day and age, that says quite a lot for them.
